Houston police: Mother sets auto on fire with children inside

The woman's daughters are 9, 11 and 13 years old, Houston Police spokesperson Victor Senties confirmed to Newsweek.

One witness said she heard the lady tell the three children, "We're going to see Jesus". The Houston Police Department said 31-year-old Ana Segovia was at a vehicle wash Sunday evening when she began repeatedly revving the engine to the point that it caught fire. The woman tripped and fell over and was later detained by a Harris County deputy constable, according to reports.

Police said Segovia abandoned her two older children on W. Orem Drive in far southwest Houston. Her children are now with relatives. He struggled with her, but she was eventually arrested.
