Here are possible new camera features on the Galaxy S9

Samsung has now revealed a new ISOCELL camera sensor lineup that gives us a peek into the cameras we can expect on the Galaxy S9 series. As a result, this year's new Galaxy S9 and S9+ will look nearly identical to last year's Galaxy S8 and S8+.

We heard previously that the two handsets would share a similar design to the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus and the displays on the two smartphones are said to be about the same size.

One thing we know for certain about Samsung's next phone is that is will be announced at the worldwide trade show Mobile World Congress in the week of 26 February.

With reports claiming that S9 just features minor upgrades, let's see how these phones compare to each other. Based on a leaked retail box, the upcoming Galaxy S9 is expected to come with a faster dual-pixel camera with a variable aperture plus a new Super Slow-mo feature which could rival Sony's 960fps slow-mo.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and Exynos 9810 are thought to be the processors that will be tucked under the hood of this flagship with both offering huge speed improvements and longer battery life via better efficiency.

The new rumour suggests the S9's camera will be the world's first flagship smartphone to feature an F1.5 aperture.

While details indicate the main goal of the technology is to help decrease the thickness and weight of smartphones, it may also be connected to how in-display fingerprint scanners work on Samsung devices. The pair is set to boast of enhanced photography skills this time round, boosted by the presence of dual lenses on the latter.

Another feature coming to the S9 and S9+ is the inclusion of Super Slo-motion mode. Maybe this new Isocell technology will make its way to the Galaxy S9.

Samsung didn't mention which of these new camera sensors will be used for the Galaxy S9 or the Galaxy S9+. will be heading to Spain on February 26 to bring you all the news live from this major technology show.
