LeBron James, Dwyane Wade not happy about David Fizdale firing

LeBron James said that "everybody in the basketball world" was shocked by the firing of Grizzlies head coach David Fizdale on Monday.

While Memphis is just 7-12 this season, the firing was a surprise considering the Grizzlies hired Fizdale to be their head coach in May 2016.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the team has announced that associate head coach J.B. Bickerstaff has been promoted to interim head coach moving forward.

Fizdale was in his second season as head coach of the Grizzlies after long being one of the league's most highly regarded assistant coaches. They also have some issues with their star player, as Marc Gasol was benched for the fourth quarter on Sunday.

Sunday's benching did not sit well with the younger Gasol, who told reporters afterward he was "more angry that I can show".

Hulu Launches on Nintendo Switch Game System
So far, we have not heard a peep about YouTube or Netflix coming to Switch, but today Nintendo slipped us a tiny morsel of hope. In many ways you have to admire Nintendo's restraint here in prioritising the gaming experiences on the Nintendo Switch.

"After a thorough evaluation, I decided a change in course was necessary to move forward and provide the team and organization its best chance at success this season and beyond", Grizzlies general manager Chris Wallace said.

A frustrated Gasol watched as Fizdale's unit rallied within four points with eight minutes to go, but ultimately wasn't able to take down the Brooklyn Nets, falling 98-88 to mark their eighth straight loss.

The Grizzlies have lost 11 of their last 13, including the last seven without point guard Mike Conley who has been sidelined with an injury. They did, however, beat the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets on back-to-back nights in October.

The Grizzlies are the second National Basketball Association team to make an in-season coaching change.
