Twin Peaks review: something wicked this way comes

True to his Lynchian desire to test the viewer, Lynch, Showtime (which owns the new series) and Stan (which is broadcasting the series in Australia) have kept the new episodes totally under wraps to ensure that the entire world experiences the show simultaneously. Now 71, Lynch spent 10 minutes ducking questions about the new Twin Peaks. Then there are all those cryptic clues dispensed by, among others, the late Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee) and a tree-like creature that isn't named Groot.

Check them out below (obviously via Reverb).

The original show ran for two seasons in 1990, and even the most devoted fans might have trouble keeping up with all the characters and plot twists. We love that Lynch and his co-conspirator Mark Frost coaxed/tricked Showtime into giving them Showtime money to fund their weird art freak-out, and then coaxed/tricked the masses to puff it into one of the biggest television events of our times. "To watch its new iteration is to be reminded of what TV has done in its absence".

Despite an eerie sojourn to New York City where a odd glass box is being fastidiously monitored and a new murder mystery in South Dakota, both proving that expanding the Twin Peaks universe is a good thing, it's the big return to the Red Room that really sets pulses racing. Now there's a lot of speculation and theory around who Michael Cera will be playing in Twin Peaks and I mean, where there's smoke, right? When the revival premieres this weekend, it will have been - you guessed it - 25 years since the last new entry in the Twin Peaks canon: the 1992 prequel film Fire Walk With Me.

What's with all the coffee and the cherry pie?

Arriving today in America (May 21st) and on Monday (May 22nd) in the United Kingdom is Season Three of Twin Peaks and little is known about the upcoming story so below we going to pose five questions about the upcoming season...

"Some people were really obsessed with the female characters, others were obsessed with the style of the time, some people came to it through being obsessed with [director] David Lynch's other projects", Mr Hazel said.

Lyft & Google's Waymo reportedly ink self-driving car deal
The arrangement with Lyft suggests Alphabet is unlikely to rekindle its relationship with Uber. David Drummond, Alphabet's chief legal officer, stepped down from Uber's board previous year .

"The game is set in Bright Falls which sounds a bit like Twin Peaks".

"Well, you know, the story was not over".

What we can assume is that much of the action will carry on from the previous season.

There will be no critics' reviews to tip them off before the series debuts at 9 p.m. tonight.

However, the new series will see Kyle MacLachlan reprise his role as agent Dale Cooper, Ray Wise as Leland Palmer, Carel Struycken as The Gian.

Finally, viewers also learn the fates of a few more Twin Peaks denizens.

She tells Cooper, "I will see you again in 25 years". A young man who babysits the box and his date are viciously attacked early on in the first episode, their skin torn to shreds.
