Paul Nuttall Keeps Calling Leanne Wood 'Natalie' During ITV Leaders' Debate

UKIP's leader Paul Nuttall found himself outnumbered by 4-1 on Brexit and other issues in a party leaders' TV debate that was snubbed by Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn.

Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn came under fire in equal measure during tonight's leadership debate, as their political rivals slammed the Labour and Tory leaders for refusing to take part.

Green co-leader Caroline Lucas joined in, laughing and implying Nuttall had problems remembering different women's names.

Live-blogging the debate for The Guardian, Andrew Sparrow concluded it was "all a bit dull", but warned the absence of May and Corbyn could impact negatively on their parties - if voters noticed.

Sturgeon said she was also saddened by little sign of compromise with remain voters in the prime minister's plan for the Brexit negotiations.

Both Farron and Lucas believe people should get the chance to vote in another European Union referendum.

The leaders clashed over Brexit, migration, and social care during the live two-hour programme chaired by Julie Etchingham.

Bhardwaj said. The EC, however, has said that it hasn't backed out, and had accepted the AAP's demand of being given a machine. However, the only way to secure these against manipulations is to have a paper trail system.

The comments came within the opening minutes of the ITV leaders' debate, hosted at MediaCityUk in Salford.

He added: "Brexit would never have happened if it wasn't for Ukip!"

"May - backed by Nigel Farage and Jeremy Corbyn - is going for an extreme Brexit deal that will damage our future for generations", Farron said.

After the first question, which focussed on Brexit, the leaders of the SNP, Liberal Democrats, Greens and Plaid Cymru immediately turned against Ukip boss Mr Nuttall. Se said she'd fight to "make sure that the Tories don't get away with an extreme Brexit that would cause serious harm for many people in many of our communities right throughout the U.K".

This is how Wood, Lucas and SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon reacted following the second blunder.

According to the Daily Mirror, it "looked like the worst episode of Take Me Out ever", while The Independent's John Rentoul says it was "less interesting than a discussion among random people on Twitter or down the pub".

Ms Wood replied, "You've done it twice now", and Mr Nuttal replied: "Have I?"
